Science - Speed

 Since we now that that pushes and pulls are forces we use to help things move, we started experimenting with speed.  We learned the more force you use the more speed there will be.  We had run racing cars, but they had difficulty with them going straight.

Science - Fun With Movement

In science class, we have been studying about movement.  We started by talking about push and pull being forces that we use to move things.  So, the children experiment with straws and Fruit Loops.  I asked them to figure out how to move the Fruit Loop to the other side of there desks.  It did not take them long to figure it out.  Here are some pictures.

Leprechaun Wheelbarrows Continued

     The children worked rally hard on their leprechaun wheelbarrows.  They were really creative.  A lot of  the children made changes as they went and several children completely started over.  I enjoyed watching them through this process.

Today they started building from the plan they drew yesterday.  Here are some pictures. They were working hard.  I love seeing all the different ideas.  I can’t wait to see how they turn out!

How tall can you build your tower?

 These boys enjoyed building with the blocks outside today.  They built it as tall as they could.  Great job boys!  I am sorry the camera on my phone is messed up and my pictures are a little fuzzy.
