Extra Snow Day Ideas

 

Make fake snow:

Make bouncing bubbles:

Spelling word practice:  Write words in/on/with

Shaving cream on plate, tray, or table

Rice in container

Colored ice on paper

Markers 

 - Form words with play dough, noodles, toothpicks, marshmallows, etc

Phonics:

**Paper snow balls - write long e words with e, ee, or ea and throw them at each other or into something.  Open and practice reading.  Could also you this with the words to know for the story.  

** scavenger hunt - look around the house for items with the long e sound.  Can they spelling them?

*** try writing a word ladder by changing a letter or 2 at the beginning or end
