Thanksgiving - Friendship Stew

 For Thanksgiving, we celebrated our friendship.  Each child took turns adding their friendship and stirring the stew.  I moved their desks into a circle so it was easier to talk while eating their stew.

P.E. - Newcomb Ball

 The children were learning how to play Newcomb Ball.  It is similar to volleyball.  The children are to pass the ball and throw it over the net.  They are not allowed to let it hit the floor.

Reading the story in groups

Each week we read and discuss the weekly story 3 times.  This time I tried having them read it in small groups for the 3rd time.  I think it went well.

STREAM Night

Focus Wall - Lesson 11 - At Home in the Ocean

 The challenge spelling words are thick and tenth.

STREAM Project - An Animal Shelter

 The children have begun to work on their STREAM project.  The children have to build a shelter to protect their animal from the sunlight.  First, they created an animal with pipe cleaners and uv  sensitive beads.  Then, they had  to draw a plan as to what their animal’s shelter should look like.  Next, they began to build what they drew.  After they finish it they will test it with the “sun” which will be a black light flashlight.  If needed, they will make adjustments.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of them creating their animals.  But I did get some pictures of them building the shelters.
