Halloween Party Fun

 

P.E. - The Haunted Castle

 The children had to ride the scooters into the Haunted Castle to grab some candy without being caught by the ghosts (children with noodles).

 The challenge spelling words are jump and must.

Third Grade Hall of Saint

 On Thursday, our class visited the 3rd grade Hall of Saint.  The third grade student choose a saint to research.  They each made a poster, dressed up like the saint, and gave a little speech to the visitors about the saint they learned about.

Pumpkin Investigation

 Our class was given a pumpkin by Mrs. O.  I also bought a few small pumpkin that were different colors. The child chose a pumpkin to investigate and take notes.

P.E. - Pumpkin Patch

 The hula hoops are the pumpkins in the patch.  If they roll the ball into the hula hoop, they get to pick it and bring it back to their team.

 Our challenge spelling words this week are sled and step.

Halloween Subtraction Games

 Monster Subtraction

The children had 2 dice.  The green die was the whole number.  The regular die was rolled to determine the number of candies the monster ate.  Then they would right the number sentence on the dry erase board.

Haunted Seven Game

The children would roll the die.   Then, subtract that number from seven to determine how many spaces they should move.  It they landed on the witch they had to go back 7 spaces.
