Bar Graphs - Finding the Missing Addend
The children were learning to use bar graphs to find the missing addend. They would use the information given from a story or a number sentence to figure out the missing addend. They can fill it in with the numbers are with circles.
For Example: Jeff has six red marbles. He also has some blue marbles. He has ten marbles in all. How many blue marbles does he have? 6 + ? = 10

Trying out Kahoot!
Today we watched a video on Generation Genius about habitats. Afterwards we played a game on Kahoot! They children loved it!! They each logged on with their iPad. I would read the question on the screen and they would answer on the iPad. It shows them on their iPad whether they chose the correct answer.

Math- Practicing Doubles Facts
Double facts are when the addends an addition equation are the same. Such as 2 + 2 = 4. The children were practicing doubles facts with cubes on a Seesaw activity.
P.E. - Rob the Nest Game
All the “eggs” start out in the middle of the court. The children had to dribble with their feet to get them to their nest. Once all the “eggs” were out of the middle, they were able to rob “eggs” from other nests. This is a fun way to get ready for soccer season!

Verbs - Action Verbs
The children did some moving today with Dr. Jean’s song “ Verb, Verb Action Word”. If Dr. Jean said and action word they were to act it out. If it was not at action word, they stood still.

The children went on a walk today to look for living and nonliving things. They were completing a Seesaw activity where they would take pictures and put them in the correct column. They were very observant and took some great pictures!
