Focus Wall - Lesson 11 - At Home in the Ocean

 The challenge spelling words are thick and tenth.

STREAM Project - An Animal Shelter

 The children have begun to work on their STREAM project.  The children have to build a shelter to protect their animal from the sunlight.  First, they created an animal with pipe cleaners and uv  sensitive beads.  Then, they had  to draw a plan as to what their animal’s shelter should look like.  Next, they began to build what they drew.  After they finish it they will test it with the “sun” which will be a black light flashlight.  If needed, they will make adjustments.

Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures of them creating their animals.  But I did get some pictures of them building the shelters.

Art Class

 In art class, the children created a Frankenstein.  This was a directed drawing.  They follow the directions and drew it with a pencil. The next class they traced the pencil lines with a black Sharpie.  During the 3rd class, they painted it with water colors.  I LOVE them!
