Math Review - Egg Hunt

 I hid eggs around the room.  Each egg had a math question inside.  They would find an egg, take it to their desk, and write their answer on the recording sheet.  Then they would put it back where they found it, and get another one. Here are the questions.

Designing Paper Easter Eggs

 I read the children the book The Best Easter Eggs Ever!  Afterwards, the children designed their own eggs.  They are beautiful!

Parts of Speech Egg Hunt

 On Tuesday we had an egg hunt to review nouns, verbs, and adjectives.  I hid eggs on the playground.  Each egg had a few pieces of candy and a word.  Each child was asked to find 2 eggs.  

The children had to write their name on the back of each word, and place it in the correct basket related to its part of speech.

When they were finished, we checked each egg and discussed whether it was placed in the correct basket.

Focus Wall - Lesson 26 - The Dot

 The tests on the story The Dot will be on April 14th.

The challenge spelling words are writing and grabbed.

Safety Program

 We had visitors from the Bartlett Police Department.  

They came 3 for 30 minute sessions. 

 The 1st day they discuss safety tips.

The 2nd day they talked about what types of situations would require calling 911.

The third day they discussed bus safety.

P.E. T-ball

 The children have been working on playing t-ball.  They are practicing hitting off the tee, running the bases and passing the ball.  Ms. Angotti created her own version for P.E. class.  Once the batter hits the ball, they run the bases.  The fielders are trying to get it to the pitcher and on the cone.  Once that happens the runners have to stop running.
