Pumpkin Seeds

Look at our pumpkin plants!  We planted several of pumpkin seeds from the jack-o-lantern we carved.   Look at them now.  Flowers and all!!

Letter Ff

Our letter of the week is Ff.  We are learning what the capital and lowercase letters look like, it’s sound, and how to write. We also made “Fancy Frogs”!

The children are having learning with a little Christmas fun added in centers!

Friendship Stew

The children really enjoyed the Friendship Stew.  Each child took a turn adding their “friendship” snack and stirred it.  It was the best stew ever!!!

Working with numbers

Sometimes we work with numbers on paper.  It is not only the matching of sets to numbers but it is also improving the fine motor skills with coloring and cutting.

Other times we enjoy practicing in centers.

The children had to match the cups with dots to the card they chose.

Busy Day

We had a busy day today.  We started out talking about Thanksgiving and what we are thankful for this year.  Then the children worked on cutting out the turkey feather and gluing them to the turkey.

Later we reviewed all the letters and sounds that we have been learning about this year.

We also reviewed numbers and practiced writing the number 8.  It can be tricky!  I did not take pictures because I was doing a lot of hand holding while they practiced on the dry erase boards.

Also, at times throughout the day they were playing/learning in centers.
