The children have been learning how to play Tic- Tac- Toe. Teaching them to not only try to get three in a row but also blocking the other person. Starting to teach about strategy. I have enjoyed watching them help each other.

Valentine’s Day
We had a lot of fun today for Valentine’s Day! We exchanged valentines, ate a delicious cup cake, and did a little dancing.
I asked the children what the cupcakes tasted like because the cake part was pink. I did not know if it was strawberry or vanilla with food coloring. I will never forget one child’s reply: “It tastes like LOVE”! Then they all started to agree. My heart melted.
What cute LOVE BUGS!!!!

Valentines
Between the PreK Conference and being sick, I have not been as creative with the Valentine additions to the centers. I did change the sensory bin and added heart shaped buttons to the button trees.
Fishing
We are continuing to study about the days of creation. The last 2 days we have worked with fish. The children colored the back of the fish to match the front and cut them out. Today they (with help from me) added paper clips to the fish. Each child took a turn catching the fish with a fishing pole and them put them in their tank to take home.
Did you notice that someone was lucky and caught two fish in one try?
Code & Learn! Ladybug
Today during computer time, Mrs. Slatttery took each child one on one to play with Mrs. Morgan’s Code & Learn! Ladybug. It was an item donated to Mrs. Morgan from her wishlist.
The children had to follow the directions on the challenge card. The card told them on which square the ladybug needed to start. Then, they had to push the directional buttons the correct number of times. Finally, they pushed to green button and watched it crawl. When it stopped they flipped the card over to see if the ladybug landed in the correct space.

I did not get pictures of everyone. I was watching the 4 kids on the iPads/Kindles and taking pictures. I had to finish the last few myself that Mrs. Slattery did not finish during computer time.
We will continue to do this for a while.

Bunny Trails
I ran across this Bunny Trails game at Ollie’s and I couldn’t pass it up. I took each child one on one to help them explain the game. I started them out very basic. The game also has leveled cards that will put obstacles in their way. It is not the best quality but the kids really liked it.
Happy Trails!!!
