Religion - I Can Wait - Caterpillars

This video is a movie of a book called Hermie: A Common Caterpillar.

In this movie, Hermie does not like that he is a common or plain green caterpillar.

He sees things about other animals that he likes and tries to copy them.

He prays to God and tells God he is too common and wants to be special.

God responds in part by telling Hermie,“I’m not finished with you yet.”

Hermie does not know what God means.

Hermie has trouble waiting.  He is not patient.

Watch the movie to find out what happens.

(It is about 35 minutes long.)

If the video is too long, here is a book about the life cycle of the butterfly.

The children will create a caterpillar using pages 69 & 70 from their religion series.

Tekla’s mom said that this experiment is “great for waiting and patience”.

Tekla was ready to she the change after only 5 minutes.

They could she a change after 2 hours.
