Pumpkins

The children have had fun exploring pumpkins.  We watched scholastic videos about how pumpkins grow and exploring pumpkins.
Then we guessed whether we thought they would sink or float.

Next, we cut open the largest pumpkin and took turn helping to clean it out.  Some people chose not to help haha!

The children vote about what they wanted their Jack-o-lantern to look like.  Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture and it has already decaying. (Yuck!!)

I did take home the pumpkin seeds to wash and cook.  The children could taste them if they wanted.  As usual,  we had mixed results about whether to try them and if they liked the taste.
