Our Great Cookie Election

Our class has had a wonderful time learning about the election process while completing our Great Cookie Election.  The students started out by eating an Oreo and a chocolate chip cookie.  The children then filled out a paper stating why they thought one cookie was better than other.  They then made “campaign posters” to hang up for Election Day.

The children also had to complete a voter registration card in order to vote on Election Day.

Election Day is finally here!

Each child was called to come vote.
They brought their voter registration card and a pencil.
They had to find their name a sign in.  Then they were taken to the private voting area where the marked their choice and put their ballot in the box. Afterwards, they were each given an “ I voted today” sticker.

Mr. Aur voted today too!!

 And the winner is......

CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES!!!!!
