Place Value - Tens and Ones

We have had a lot of fun learning about tens and ones!

First, we played a game with popsicle sticks.  On one side there is one dot and on the other is 10 dots.  We would hold a groups of stick and them drop them.  Then we would sort them by tens and ones and write the number.

Then we played the Place Value Sit Down game.  They would choose a 2 digit number to write on their board.  I would call out tens or ones and I would roll a 10 sided die.  If they had that tens or ones number they would have to sit down.  The last one standing was the winner.  They LOVE this game!!
