Here are a few videos to remind us of the rules for capitalization.
We have been practicing identifying one more, one less, 10 more, and 10 less on a hundred chart. I gave the children a pink stone and a blue stone. I would ask them to place the pink stone on a given number. Then I would tell them to place the blue stone on the number that is 1 more, 1 less, 10 more or 10 less. I was try to help them see the patterns. For example: 10 less means move up one row or10 more means go down one row instead of counting off the 10.
We were out in the snow a couple of times today. It starting snow while the children were in P.E. So, they played a little on the way back to the classroom.
When the outdoor classroom to taken out the children found some of the larger landscaping rocks. They love to play with them during recess. They use them in some really creative ways. Today these 2 girls used them to build a camp fire.
It was snowing off and on this morning and the children were so excited. I took them outside to let them try to catch some on their tongues or on there hands. It had slow down by the time we got out there. Here are some pictures but you can’t see the snow.
