Hundreds Chart

We have been practicing identifying one more, one less, 10 more, and 10 less on a hundred chart.  I gave the children a pink stone and a blue stone.  I would ask them to place the pink stone on a given number.  Then I would tell them to place the blue stone on the number that is 1 more, 1 less, 10 more or 10 less.  I was try to help them see the patterns.  For example: 10 less means move up one row or10 more means go down one row instead of counting off the 10.
