The children have been learning about Native Americans. We started about learning about the different kinds of homes they had and why. We then talked about their use of horses and canoes. Lastly, we have been leaning about totem poles. The children were asked to chooses four animals from a given selection and write a story about them. They wrote a rough draft. I corrected the spelling and grammar. They were then asked to write a final draft. When that was complete, they colored the animals and glued them on a pole. Here are some pictures of them working. You will have to wait for an update on completed projects.
